Sixth December, nineteen fifty six
You passed away,
And the pond got cluttered with squalor.
Frogs turned kings
Crocodiles widowed
And
Eunuchs blurted out prophet’s words.
We’re so wretched
That we’ve to just watch in all helplessness.
